Ask a Dentist

Q: What is the difference between Invisalign and braces?

A: Braces are typically metal or ceramic brackets placed directly on the teeth and connected with wires to help shift teeth into place.

Invisalign is a series of removable clear aligners which are custom-made for your mouth to gradually shift your teeth.

Many people prefer Invisalign because it allows them to eat and drink whatever they would like, and they are not as noticeable as braces.Maintaining good oral hygiene is much easier with Invisalign than with braces because they are removable.
