Our Dentists
Dr. Patrick McManus
Dr. Patrick McManus graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Manitoba with a Doctorate of Medical Dentistry. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Dentistry. His hobbies include ballroom dancing, soccer, squash and golfing. Dr. McManus fills his days practising all aspects of general dentistry at Dental Image Therapy Centres and is also a part-time clinical instructor for the Department of Pediatric and General Dentistry at the University of Manitoba.
Dr. Christopher Bao
Dr. Christopher Bao received his Bachelor of Science and a Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Manitoba - where he now teaches as a part-time clinical instructor. He practices all aspects of general dentistry and strives to find ways to help his patients with their dental needs. After graduation, Dr. Bao went to Peru on a dental mission to provide dental services to underprivileged communities; something he’d like to do more of in the future. Outside of work, he can be found travelling, discovering new video games and teaching his dog, Leo, new tricks.
Dr. Ocean Hingley-Hurl
Dr. Ocean Hingley-Hurl received her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Winnipeg in 2019 and went on to receive her Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Manitoba. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry and strives to provide patient centred care to help patients meet their individual dental goals. Outside of dentistry she enjoys hiking, playing co-ed soccer, and reading.
Dr. Jodie Heinrich
Dr. Jodie Heinrich was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Dr. Heinrich attended the University of Manitoba where she received her Doctorate of Medical Dentistry, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Dentistry. When she’s not at Dental Image, she enjoys spending time outside, reading, jogging and travelling.
Dr.Joseph Grauer (Periodontist)
Dr. Joseph Grauer is a certified periodontist passionate about patient-centred care. He completed both his DMD and periodontics residency training at the University of Manitoba and became a fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada in Periodontics in 2025. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Grauer enjoys running, trying his hand at tennis, and discovering new restaurants and bakeries.
Dr. Nalia Gurgel
Dr. Gurgel brings over 15 years of experience in both private and public healthcare settings and currently serves as a Clinical Instructor at the University of Manitoba. She holds specialized training in implant surgery and prosthodontics, with extensive experience in implant surgeries, prosthetic rehabilitation, and oral surgery.
Her strong background in treating patients with complex medical conditions and her commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care make her an excellent addition to our team. Dr. Gurgel is recognized for combining technical expertise with clear communication and compassionate patient management.
She is multilingual — fluent in English and Portuguese, proficient in Spanish, and conversational in French — enhancing her ability to connect with a diverse patient base.
