There are several complex possible causes for your discomfort: dry mouth, vitamin deficiencies, over-brushing your tongue, acidic drinks, hormonal imbalance, nerve damage, oral thrush, or medication side effects. Make an appointment with your dentist or doctor for a check-up to be sure. Until then, take good care of your mouth, avoid irritating foods and be patient. Your symptoms could last a few months. It’s also possible your symptoms will clear up on their own. You won’t know until you ask a specialist.
