May 6, 2020

Dental Image Therapy Centres is opening its clinics, Monday to Friday from 9 am to 4 pm, for patients who require emergency or urgent dental procedures. The Manitoba Dental Association, our regulatory body, has recommended that elective dental procedures, such as routine check ups and cleanings, are not to be seen at this time.

All elective dental procedures will be booked when the Manitoba Dental Association has cleared us to do so.

For the safety of you and our staff, we are still screening patients before appointments and implementing extra safety procedures. For one of these procedures, we ask that patients wait in their car or outside for their appointments, rather than in the reception area. When it is time for your appointment, we will send you a text or email to come in. We will also be using this information to send you pre-procedural forms that must be filled out before your appointment. To facilitate this, we are asking patients to update their contact information to include their mobile telephone numbers.

Continue checking our website and social media regularly for updates. Use our Update Your Information page to ensure we have your correct contact information or call your dental clinic if you would rather update your information over the phone.

Please keep in mind that Dental Image Therapy Centres will open following the medical guidelines set out by the Manitoba Dental Association. We understand and appreciate your enthusiasm to see us but want to ensure that it is done with your safety and our staff’s safety in mind.

March 12, 2020:

To our patients:

This week, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the outbreak of a new coronavirus disease has become a global pandemic. Risks of contagion remain low in Manitoba, but we should be vigilant and do what we can to prevent the spread of illness to protect one another as well as our patients.

What We’re Doing

The safety and health of our employees and patients is our top priority. As such, effective immediately, we are asking any employee to stay home at the first sign of illness (fever, cough, sore throat, etc.).

We’re asking any patient who has any signs of illness to please reschedule their appointments. Patients who present themselves with any symptoms of illness will be asked to have their appointments rescheduled. In the case of emergencies, please discuss the situation with your dentist. They will evaluate on a case by case basis.

Cancellation fees will be waived for the time being.

We have provided hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes at both clinics. Please use them as you need when you visit us.

We have asked our cleaners to be extra vigilant in cleaning common areas and surfaces such as our reception areas, common door knobs and handles, counter surfaces and tables. Our team will also be wiping down common areas hourly throughout the day.

We already following exacting sterilization procedures after every patient visit. They include wiping down patient examination rooms including chairs, armrests, examination lights and other common surfaces after every patient.

What’s Next?

We will be monitoring guidance from public health authorities closely and will update you if anything changes.

In the meantime, we remind you that the best way to prevent the spread of COVID-19 is to wash your hands regularly and avoid touching your face.

If you have any questions, please let us know.

Thank you and stay healthy!
