Q: How is Invisalign different than braces?

A girl holds an Invisalign aligner near her teeth.

We are proud to offer Invisalign in Winnipeg to help our patients smile with confidence. There are a few main differences between Invisalign and braces.

Ceramic or metal braces are bonded to the teeth and use elastics to gradually shift your teeth into a healthy position. Invisalign does the same thing, but uses a series of clear aligners that must be worn for 20-22 hours per day.

Many people prefer Invisalign because it allows them to eat and drink whatever they would like, and they are not as noticeable as braces.

It’s also easier to maintain good oral health because you can remove your aligners to brush and floss.
