Bio-degradable dental flosses are growing in popularity. Certain companies have re-fillable flosses, plastic-free flosses, or beeswax-coated silk flosses.

Right now, we can’t say how effective bio-degradable flosses are in comparison to other flosses. Typical, non-biodegradable flosses are made out of nylon, while others include rubber, plastic, or polytetrafluoroethylene. Waxed, un-waxed, thick, thin and flavoured flosses are out there too. It comes down to your preference and what works for you.
