Q: What Are The Most Common Questions We Get Asked About Invisalign?

Invisalign has become a popular and non-invasive method to straighten teeth. If you’re wanting a healthier and better-looking smile, then read on! We’ve compiled several common questions we often get about Invisalign for anyone interested in straightening their teeth discreetly and effectively.

How Does Invisalign Work?

First, a dentist will take a precise scan of your teeth using dental molds or digital impressions (which is what we use at Dental Image Therapy Centres) to map out a custom treatment plan for you. From the scan, a dentist will create a custom-fitted, clear and removable aligner. The aligners should be worn for approximately 22 hours a day, and you will need to replace your aligners with the new ones that we provide for you every two weeks.

How Long Does The Process Take?

Depending on the complexity of your case, you could see amazing results in just six months! While your dentist examines your smile, you can ask them for a rough estimate of how long it will take to fix your teeth.

How Often Would I Need To Come In?

You would visit your dentist every eight weeks. During the appointments, your dentist will check on your progress and give you a new batch of aligners to take home with instructions on when to start using a new set.

Can I Eat While Wearing Invisalign?

Unlike metal braces that may force you to cut out some of your favourite foods, Invisalign doesn’t come with these limitations. With these clear aligners, you can take them off each time you eat and put them back on after brushing or rinsing your mouth.

If you’re looking for a way that allows you to eat what you want while keeping your “after” photos great, Invisalign may be for you. Invisalign treatment is also safe and effective for children who prefer a gentler method to correct misalignment. Contact Dental Image Therapy Centres today to book a consultation with one of our dentists. You can find our Winnipeg clinics located at St. Vital Centre and Garden City Shopping Centre.
