Q: When do baby teeth start to fall out?

A baby sucks on a wooden block.

Though there is no definite age for this to happen, most children will start losing their baby teeth between the ages of six and eight. A fun fact about this is that they typically fall out in (roughly) the same order in which they appeared.

Baby teeth are important for maintaining space until the adult teeth erupt. Losing the first baby tooth is a big milestone in your child’s life because it means they are making way for the adult teeth to grow in. A tooth can fall out without a permanent tooth pushing it; however, in this situation, it’s best to visit your dentist to make sure there is no underlying problem.
